What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs,

blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and

format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

As you spend the first few days of a new semester unpacking and settling into your new dorm room, you may feel a little closer to making a home of your student space. But as you adjust to home dinners becoming long waits in cafeteria lines, private morning routines becoming a spectacle, and your daily schedule becoming an exercise routine commuting between classes (including those dreaded 8ams), you may begin to realize that you’re missing some key items to help you survive each day.

15 Things You Forgot When Packing for College

Don’t fret or break a sweat--this list of 15 things you likely forgot to pack for college will help you locate the exact products you need to get through this semester.

1. Desk Riser

With the workload of classes setting in, you may be dissatisfied with your dorm desk already becoming a buffet of clutter. If you’re ready to salvage your desk space, the desk riser shelf is the ultimate dorm living tool you’ve been waiting for. The riser can add another surface in any cramped room so that your laptop, food containers, and old assignments aren’t all competing for room on your desk. Dorm furniture is often one size fits all, but the desk riser can help make your workspace a custom ergonomic fit for you.

Ensure your bed stays cozy and covered with a second set of sheets.

2. Extra Bed Sheets

Doing laundry at college can be a pain. Dealing with shared laundry in dorms can be a daunting waiting game. Why stare at your bare mattress while waiting to wash and dry your sheets? A spare set can give you a fresh surface to rest on if your other sheets are dirty or need to be replaced.

Being prepared is an essential skill for college, and having a backup of the only surface separating your skin from a body-fluid-soaked, beat up mattress is more important than words can describe. You can grab the perfect cotton sheets in twin XL size to adorn your drab dorm bed, or cotton blend sheets with deep pockets to accommodate for any mattress padding you may have. You can never play it too safe when it comes to your bedding.

3. Lights

No matter how large your dorm room is, we can guarantee it has a single, sad light fixture struggling to illuminate the entire room. Though the dimness may be appealing when you’re shuffling out of bed in the morning, it’s a pain when doing any late-night homework and can even have an effect on your mood and mental health.

Make your late nights less straining for yourself and your eyes by sprucing up your room’s lighting. A clip-on lamp saves desk space while providing focused illumination. And string lights with a decorative dazzle can make any room both well-lit and aesthetically pleasing.

4. Smart Storage

Your suitcases provided convenient storage during your travels but won’t be as compact in the human sardine cans known as student dorms. If you can’t spare space for storage bins and carts, you should consider less bulky and inflexible storage supplies. Organizers hanging over your door can rescue any items that can’t fit underneath an overstuffed bed. The more items that can fit in the storage supply, the better as well. The best organizers for your closet will create more space for hanging clothes. Clear your mind and living space with storage that eliminates bulk.

5. Safe

Living in a dorm can cause you to gain things like friends and the freshman fifteen.

But one huge loss you’ll suffer is some of your privacy. Schools may provide security measures like door locks, but little is done to protect personal belongings within rooms. Get a safe for compact security of your valuables and identifying documents. Roommates may share various items while living together--but for items that shouldn’t be shared, a safe can provide guarded storage space. Guarantee your peace of mind and comfort in your dorm.

6. Kitchen Supplies

If you're unfortunate enough to live in the dorm building farthest from the cafeteria, you'll understand the importance of having kitchenware in your dorm (and the struggle of cooking without it). Don’t rely on lengthy walks to your school’s cafes to keep a supply of kitchen tools. It may seem tedious to shop for the most essential supplies, so save time and purchase a bundle of kitchen basics to cover your cookware needs. Enjoy college cafeteria delicacies in your dorm without the added exercise of picking up utensils and dishes elsewhere.

7. Coffee maker

Meals points are a treasure many students can’t afford or run out of before the semester ends. Save yourself some meal coins while gaining a caffeine boost for morning classes with your own compact, single-serve coffeemaker. Brew a quick cup in minutes with a sweet flavor to satisfy your morning cravings. Be your own barista and avoid waiting in cafe lines behind other caffeine-deprived students.

8. Bath and Shower Caddy

Roommates generally share a variety of things--from personal space and oxygen to furniture and housewares. However, personal care products should ideally remain personal and away from prying eyes. Keep your hygiene products and tools organized with a lightweight bath caddy, which can fit perfectly under your bathroom sink or in the privacy of your room. The shower caddy provides durable protection for your products during your shower routine. Both caddies will keep your personal products together and, most importantly, to yourself.

9. Extension Cord

A late night spent working can be disrupted by low battery charges on your phone and laptop. When searching for the seemingly rare electrical outlet in your room, the dilemma of working comfortably while charging your devices arises. With electrical outlets powered from your bed, you can keep electronics alive without leaving your favorite corner. Don’t perform acrobatics trying to stay near outlets when an extension cord can bring the outlet to you. The cord can be a lifesaver if you’re struggling with studying both effectively and comfortably.

Keep the best snacks in reach with a delectable care package.

10. Snacks

Snack cravings hitting during an extensive study session can feel like being kicked while you’re down. The campus store’s schedule can be unforgiving for hungry night owls. And unless Walmart or Target opens up their own universities, don’t expect any school to sell your favorite snacks at a reasonable price.

A personal care package of classic snacks can appease every late-night chocolate, cheese, and salt craving without you breaking the bank or a sweat. The packages of savory goodies and indulgent sweets come gluten-free, vegan, and custom-made--so every student can be satisfied and energized from the comfort of their own dorms.

Your dorm will stay stylish and clutter-free with this trash can.

11. Trash Can

Because trash cans are a prevalent resource in public, it’s common to forget one for your dorm. And it may seem easier to leave snack wrappers and unwanted papers strewn across your room at first, but investing in a personal trash can will house the chaos of your student clutter. Buy a simplistic trash can if you don’t plan to dispose of private items--or opt for a lidded trash can to cover personal debris. Whether it’s food trash, failed quizzes, or empty containers, let your trash be disposed of with dignity and not on your dorm room floor.

Step out of the shower snug and fresh with a soft bathrobe.

12. Shower Robe

Communal bathrooms are a quintessential part of the college experience, but they're far from comfortable. The discomfort of trailing through your dorm with a poorly tied towel as your only support is only painless to tolerate in theory. Why struggle to hold a towel up in front of an audience of students when you can feel cozy and spotless in a terry cloth bathrobe? Don’t fret if you prefer a little less fabric after a shower. The shower wrap provides the same minimal ease as a towel while also cinching around your body to stay in place. Enjoy a worry-free, full coverage trip from the shower no matter which fellow students may be around.

You don’t have to choose between style and hydration with this decorative travel mug.

13. Travel Mug

Food isn’t the only fuel you’ll need on-the-go throughout a busy day of classes. With water fountains and cafes at your disposal across campus, having a travel mug will help keep you hydrated. After grabbing a stylish travel mug , you can scurry across campus fueled by ice-cold water or trudge through chilly trips to class with warm tea. Don’t choose between a flimsy water bottle or a clunky thermos to transport your favorite beverages. Get yourself a mug that does both.

This pillow will make homework from bed your new routine.

14. Bed Rest

Throughout the semester, you may find yourself spending more and more time at your desk while trying to stay atop your increasing workload. But don’t sell yourself short and allow the desk to be your only work area. Turn your bed into the ultimate workspace with the fuzzy arms and firm support of a bed rest. The pillow will keep you productive and comfy during the most tedious of reading or essay assignments. And with the well-rested day that’ll follow, you may forget that your desk even exists.

15. Oil diffuser

The smell of a new dorm can be unpleasant--whether the odors are from other students, the building, or a tragic combination. Candles might be the first solution in mind, but their fragrance isn’t worth being serenaded by your dorm’s fire alarms. So discard those scented fire hazards and grab yourself an essential oil diffuser if you’re already sick of your dorm smell.

While the diffuser’s mist and light show make for great decor, the floral oil scent can mellow any stress accumulated throughout a typical day. With an aromatic dorm and fire alarms remaining undisrupted, oil diffusers can keep everyone in your dorm content.

Whether you’re gearing up to pack for college or if you’re already in your dorm, hopefully, this list has helped you discover the necessary products for an exceptional semester. With the aid of OCM’s website, it’s never too late to customize any semester to be the best fit for you.
